General Relief Society Meeting

Relief Society sisters are invited to view the satellite broadcast (from SLC) of the general Relief Society meeting, which will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011.  We have been asked to be at the Turlock Stake Center at 4:45, a dinner will follow the broadcast.

181st General Conference of the Church

The 181st Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will take place on April 2 and 3, 2011, at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.  Conference will be broadcast in the Ceres building and you can also check your own TV listing to see if it is also broadcast at home.

For two days, Church members around the globe will gather in various locations to hear counsel from Church leaders, including President Thomas S. Monson and each member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, as well as other General Authorities and auxiliary leaders of the Church.

Stake Conference Changes

Elder Ballard is not able to attend our Stake Conference this weekend.  Elder Spencer J. Condie of the Quorum of Seventy will be presiding instead.

Elder Ballard - Stake Conference - January 16th & 17th

Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve will preside at our stake conference on Saturday and Sunday,  January 16th and 17th, 2010, at the Turlock Stake Center.  Elder Larry W. Lawrence of the Quorum of the Seventy will accompany Elder Ballard.

All adults are invited to attend the Saturday evening session at 7:00 p.m.  The Sunday General Session at 10:00 a.m. is for individuals of all ages.

We are singing in Sacrament Meeting on November 29th, this is the Sunday after Thanksgiving.  We will be singing "I Walk by Faith" and we will be singing with the Young Women.

Sister Elaine Taylor made this Handcart handout to go along with her lesson on Sunday.  She recycled a laundry scoop for the Handcart, used milk tops for the wheels and put a potted plant in the cart for us to enjoy.

Bishop Calls New 1st Counselor

Education Kit Bags are filled!

Here are the contents of what was allowed in each of the Education Kits.  Sisters sewed the bags, purchased supplies and on Thursday we got together to put them together.  Nearly 100 bags were pack and are now sent to the LDS distribution center, from there they were distributed to needy students in Kosovo.

 

Dinner was made from only food storage items!

 

 

The Beem's are moving to Idaho Falls!

Our former Bishop, Richard Beem with Sister Diana Beem, longtime members of our ward, announced today they will be moving to Idaho Falls.  While we all have mixed emotions, their granddaughter will be pretty happy to have them around all the time!  Our ward will experience a huge void with them gone!
